Multi award-winning Folk Americana artist
.

Cathy-Anne McClintock, along with her well crafted inspirational songs and stylized vocal delivery, create a beautiful outcome that's both edgy and hip while still strongly reflecting the folk/bluegrass influences of her past.
Cathy-Anne's first solo CD features songs with Grammy Award winning bluegrass/folk legend, Tim O’Brien and Juno winner Alan Doyle from renowned Canadian Celtic rockers, Great Big Sea and also features guest spots from John Jorgenson, Gabe Witcher and Stuart Duncan.  Grammy award winners, John Reischman, and Jim Nunally, join fellow Juno nominee ‘Jaybirds’ Trisha Gagnon (Cathy-Anne's sister) and Nick Hornbuckle, lending their amazing musical talents to the project.
It is masterfully engineered by Eric Uglum who accents each influence from her 10 year tenure with her multi award winning Canadian Bluegrass band, Tumbleweed, nine time winner of British Columbia Canada’s Best Bluegrass Group, Best Country Group and Best Country CD.

Growing up listening to the music of U2, Sting, the Stanley Brothers, Tim O'Brien, Alison Krauss, Larry Sparks, Conway Twitty, Trisha Yearwood and the Beatles, Cathy-Anne had a great mix of musical history to draw from when writing for this new self titled CD.

Cathy-Anne has had a feature performance in director Ed Zwick's film, 'Leaving Normal' and was also featured in Billboard, the Record, and Marquee magazine to name a few.  Her original tune, ‘I Wanna Live Like That’, has been recorded and released 29 times, by a vast array of artists from The Netherlands, Australia, Canada and USA as well as being featured on Disney, HBO, Showtime and Pax.

Strong songs with good lyric content performed by some of the top players in their genres with vocals by Cathy-Anne along with her original and autobiographical tunes…add in great harmonies and acoustic instrumentation and the direction is definitely established for the future of this artist.
